Do you have more ideas? If so send them to jwindow@nhgsa.com for posting or be sure to attend our post event debriefing at DTTD Oct 29, 2008 from 10am-Noon. Pizza provided! RSVP to jwindow@nhgsa.com
- I think we need NOT
display lodging information unless it’s part of the regional piece or the NH
Visitor’s Guidebook. Yes, we should continue to display historical hotels, but
overall, the Big E should not be part of the WIC
program.
- I think we need to give
a Visitor’s Guide to people if they ask for one and in order for them to take
one, we should get their names and addresses for a drawing. Sending after the
fact doesn’t cut it. Realizing the need for names and addresses, there just has
to be a separate lure for people to give us their info.
- Although highly well
organized (I used your index multiple time), there seemed to be just too much
information. The attractions and events should be the focal point of the booth,
as well as campgrounds, parks. People generally looked at the entire front of
the booth, so having 3 stations of the same info wasn’t
effective.
- The look of the booth
was wonderful…..you made us look more professional indeed! I just think the
logistics of the booth need some tweaking….
Kudos to Michele for her organization of the print materials. The back room was
much more efficiently used and the organization of materials on the racks was
great!. Guests liked
the organization of materials into regions. It made things easy for them to
find what they were looking for. -
The management staff was
great, thank you for being so nice. -
The foam floor in the booth
worked great! My feet thank you! -
The map on the spinner in
the crazy corner was well used. A bunch of times I saw a handicapped individual
straining to reach it from a wheelchair. Parents also had bit of a hard time
showing the map to vertically challenged kids. Can we find some way to make it
accessible to all? Either mount it lower or keep the current one and mount
another one lower. -
Speaking of handicaps and
vertically challenged guests, most of the materials on the front counter are too
high for them to see/reach. Let's not redesign the whole counter, but maybe
find some way to display some of the higher-volume pieces where they can
see/reach them. -
Please bring back the
Segways! That was such a huge hit, they were waaay cool to ride and since
they're made in NH it makes sense to showcase them. -
Can we create a "NH
Education for Life" section? Many people asked about colleges in NH and we had
nothing to give them. Thank you for the
half-priced pie and ice cream! It's a great perk to
volunteering!
You people are the most organized group I have ever seen! You give new meaning to every i dotted and every t crossed.

- List of fairs (more Ag brochures)
- Colleges & Universities
- Snowmobileing
- Steam clean the rug
- Linoleum floor in crazy corner [10 x 12]
- Mid-counter clear w/glass over key info
- Regional Brochures need to be more accessible (i.e. higher)
- Ensure each REGION is represented by key materials for that area. Prearrange for those materials to be there. Ensure they are accessible (see above). Alan suggests that we could build a special rack to accommodate a QUICK OVERVIEW of the state for those who want to grab key materials from each region.
- Review the inventory lists from prior years, see if there is a way to keep certain types of brochures together (EXAMPLE: White Mountains attractions. They have 16 attractions that the WMA association coordinates, they come EVERY year, they deliver their own materials, unload their own materials, and have enough inventory to keep through the entire event.)
- Snowmobile information
- Bike Maps
- Ag brochure (especially other Fairs)
- Make sure we are "hard" wired (rather than wireless) The corn's microwaves keep bumping us off line.
- Better emergency evacuation plans
