They are just off Route 11B from Weirs Beach.
9:45am arrival - there are restrooms in the Samuel P Pardoe Education Center. There is also a place to fill water bottles.
10am-11:30am - Welcome to Prescott Farm & Big Tree Tour
11:30am-12:30pm - Things to do at Prescott Farm: Overview of their programs and property.
12:30pm - lunch on your own or picnic on the property. There are picnic tables around the property and under the milk barn.
You are invited to stay the afternoon and hike some of their trails -- the property is open to the public daily sunrise to sunset. Feel free and explore!
Tour description: We will start with a brief walking tour highlighting the centers programs and land, including their nature based preschool, natural playscape, barn area & beautiful gardens.
Then we will take their Big Tree tour which will involve a light hike - We will talk about reading the forested landscape - looking at older trees and what they tell us about the property. The terrain is somewhat hilly but not mountainous with some uneven ground. Sneakers or hiking boots are recommended.
