STATE HOUSE SING-A-LONG:   The NH State House Visitor’s Center hosted approximately 250 students, school staff and parents on four Tours Thursday, April 12, 2018 between 9AM and noon.  Following the close of the legislative session, students from Lincoln Street School in Exeter sang “The Ballad of the Old Man in the Mountain” accompanied on guitar by music teacher Ms. Susan Noseworthy and an unidentified student. The class sang for Senator, Bill Gannon, District 23 in the NH  Senate Chamber.

There are several unique “Old Man of the Mountain” songs to be found on YouTube.  This Ballad is a collaboration of lyrics written by Mr. John Bentley, an 85 year old blind man, and Ms. Noseworthy, his cousin, who composed the music. GSAs….whether you can sing along, or not, there is much, much more for you to enjoy doing at the State House Visitor’s Center.  Check the “Calendar” for State House volunteer openings!

Four NHGSA volunteers joined Legislators, Townies and Tourists for UNH Day Complimentary Cuisine on the State House Lawn on Thursday, May 3, 2018.  Free Salad, Sandwiches, Cookies and all the University of NH academic, business partner, and community connections any one GSA cared to consume!
