| National Certification for NH Travel Counselors
State of NH Division of Travel & Tourism Development invites you to to participate in a fun filled, educational refresher course for New Hampshire Travel Counselors. You are also encouraged to stay and take the National Certification Exam for New Hampshire Travel Counselors directly following the refresher course.
New Hampshire is the 9th state in the Nation to provide this prestigious certification process. Granite State Ambassadors, Inc. designed both the refresher training course as well as the 100 question examination that will be given. Travel Industry Association of America (TIA) is our certifying partner.
Since our first year of certifying NH Travel Counselors in 2005, we were pleased to announce the graduation of 68 Nationally Certified NH Travel Counselors! They included employees from NH Chambers of Commerce, NH Lodging Properties, Department of Transportation and Division of Travel & Tourism and Granite State Ambassador volunteers.

| Enrollment Prerequisites- This training is open to tourism industry personel those who
have 1 year experience working (or 100 hours of volunteer
service)greeting visitors to NH;from front desks, visitor centers, or
at any visitor contract point in NH (such as State Parks, Museums, Taxi
Drivers, Gas Stations, etc.) - Cost: $100.00

Active, certified Granite State Ambassadors with 100+ hours of volunteer service or 1 year front line employment after GSA Certification - Cost: Included with your GSA Membership/Free

- 8:55am - Introduction to Activities of the Day
- 9:00am - Learning Session 1
- 9:45am - Break (morning coffee & snacks provided)
- 10:00am - Learning Session 2
- 10:45am - Break
- 11:00am - NH Jeopardy
- Noon - Lunch on your own (click for area ideas & suggestions)
- 1:30pm - National Certification Exam
National Certification Exam for New Hampshire Travel Counselors: 1:30pm-3:30pm - 100 Question Examination* *To become Nationally Certified you must pass with a grade of 85% or higher. *During the exam you will be allowed to use the NH Visitor's Guide, the In-State Handbook, the State Parks Guide and the NH Map as "open book" tools
