Kudos to: Dick Hatin
I don’t know if you are aware of the dedication and care that Dick Hatin has displayed the last few months. He suffers terribly from hip and knee inflammation that is debilitating and his arthritis that causes him constant pain. Dick does the walk about and does a great job with his knowledge and attitude. Just thought that he should be recognized as a constant positive part of the airport.

Her ability to connect with visitors and offer them entertaining and informative tours is wonderful! We have gotten so much feed back regarding her tours and everyone says This is their best experience at a capitol! Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating!

Kudos to: Tim Adams
Tim is always willing to volunteer on the 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. shift at the airport. It is a time when there is not too much activity. Which is why it is not very popular with GSA’s. Yet for the people who travel on the few flights that there are, I am sure they are grateful to have someone there to help them out.

Maureen is one of those quiet and steady volunteers who don’t always get recognition for their ability to keep calm when chaos reigns. (which is frequent here!) She also doesn’t mind those quiet days which do occur occasionally. She is always willing to take on mundane tasks to assist us and is able to handle the office easily. We appreciate her and enjoy having her on her State House shifts.

Kudos to: Veronica Molloy – Email sent to Virginia:
I just wanted to thank Veronica and the ladies at the Visitor’s Center. My niece and I had a wonderful time touring the Capitol building. She loved being able to see the contrasts between the British and NH political systems. She was fascinated by how seriously we, in NH, take our political responsibility and our First in the Nation status. Thank you all again for the wonderful tour and time taken with the two of us, Crystal Treadwell and Georgina Partida

Sandy arrived at Rockin’ Ribfest for her first shift as a GSA with a smile on her face after working her regular job at one of the Welcome Centers on 89. She knew we needed help and she did everything she could to be there to help out. This dedication to the State of NH and our guests is exactly what being a GSA is all about.

Kudos to: Brenda Urban
I went downtown a little early today only to learn that Sandra had called in sick. I explained that I needed a refresher on opening and closings and didn’t feel comfortable being alone at the center. Brenda more than willingly offered to stay with me on the 12-3 shift and get me caught up on the center’s changes. She is truly one of the friendliest GSA’s I know. All the GSA’s are great but it seems to me Brenda goes above and beyond to help everybody. I’m now trained to work downtown and will volunteer often.

Kudos to: State House GSAs
The GSA’s who volunteer in this building have to park far away and many times PAY for their parking, yet they continue to volunteer! There are many days they have to park many blocks away and trek in through snow, sleet, and cold! And once they are here they are subjected to a wide variety of requests and events as well as having the center manager running around the building and often not able to even thank them for their long hours of service. Without these fabulous GSA’s I would not be able to get through the weeks! LOVE THEM ALL!

Kudos to: Sam McDonald
Today while at the airport I had a nice couple stop by and asked if I could get a message to Sam.  They had stopped by the information booth when they arrived and Sam had mapped out some points of interest for them to see while in NH.  I think they said they were here for two weeks.  They were from Australia and they loved NH thanks to Sam.  I recommended that they write their comments and put them in the idea box but also wanted to make sure that you heard it in case you never get the message from the idea box.  I did see what they wrote before they put it in the box and it was very nice.

Arrived at NH airport 2 weeks ago (note dated Oct. 13th) without an itinerary with only a car rental booking.  No idea where we wanted to travel until we met Sam McDonald at the information desk.  Sam very patiently took us through our options, which we followed.  The result being a wonderful driving vacation through N.H. in the fall.  Tanks, Ian Row.

Hi All –  wanted to share a nice story with all of you. We had the VP of Sales from Lowes Motor Speedway in Las Vegas come in to give us advice. Mentioned in several meeting how impressed he was to be welcomed to NH by an ambassador at the Airport. This is a guy who flies 200,000 miles a year and is responsible for some of the largest sponsorship sales in all of NASCAR. He is walking away very impressed based on the first impression given by one of our GSAs. Whoever was working at 1:00 yesterday made a huge impression.

Sharon went above and beyond at the Popcorn Booth at the Home Show – she used her experience in the restaurant industry to realize that the coffee machine was making a mess because the filters were too small, and went on her own to find the correct filters and clean up the mess. And it wasn’t even the job she’d signed up to do, we had an opening that needed filling and I asked her to switch.

Kudos to: Mary Tauscher
She was great helping out with the Popcorn Booth at the Home Show – her first shift was Friday afternoon, and during that shift decided to come in for the AM shift on Sunday, except she thought we were talking about Saturday, so she came in on Saturday morning. We needed the extra help, so she stuck around anyway, and still came in Sunday! She was a great help teaching the other GSAs how to run the popcorn machine and coffee maker.

He continues to be the greatest addition to our school tours also! And this week received a letter from Concord HS students who said he was the best tour guide EVER!

As I was leaving the airport last week a young lady came over to the desk to say how kind and helpful she found everyone she encountered when she flew in here a few days ago.  She arrived here in the evening from California and planned to rent a car to drive to her appointment in Hanover.  When she went to the car rental agency she was prepared to pay cash as she did not have a credit card.  Of course she was told that without a credit card she would not be able to rent a car.  She said she was devastated to the point of tears.  She was alone and did not know how she was going to reach her destination.
